about me

Hi! My name is Duane T. Tan, 20 years old, a graduate of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. I’m an enthusiastic, hardworking, diligent and highly motivated individual, who loves to teach, guide and encourage students to improve and enhance their proficiency in the English language. Tutoring has always been my passion ever since I was in high school, especially subjects like English, Math and Science. It gives me that unique kind of satisfaction when I interact with my students, and try to explain to them concepts that they find confusing and difficult. And when I successfully see my students improving in school, it gives me so much happiness. For me tutoring isn't merely providing facts, concepts and information. Dedication, patience and persistence must come hand in hand. When I teach, I want the spirit of encouragement and enthusiasm to be felt by my students, in this way, he or she will feel highly motivated to learn and will participate actively in the process.
